Three Lakes Council created a photo history book of Lakes Waccabuc, Oscaleta, and Rippowam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Three Lakes Council.
This history contains over 70 pages of photos, postcards, and stories, spanning from the early Mead family to present day. It tells how New York City’s need for water in the 1800’s created the channels that connect the lakes today. Each association around the Three Lakes is described, as well as many of the features that make our lakes so special. Read what the Record Review had to say: article.
This book was offered as a fundraiser to help the Three Lakes Council continue its mission to preserve and protect the lakes. At this point the book is out of print. It is available at the Lewisboro Library! Or download a pdf version.
