To be good stewards, we monitor the health of our lake ecosystems. This requires assessments of physical characteristics, chemical analysis of our lake waters, and quantification of our biological communities. We take samples and underwrite studies during the summer, and then await the reports. And they’re here!

CSLAP provides our primary water quality reports. The scorecard shows we had an average year for our lakes, while much more information is available in the individual reports. We are pleased that the aquatic plant survey did not find any new invasive plants, but it did find an increasing presence of filamentous green algae. Our algae and zooplankton study showed our lakes reverted towards more typical conditions.

Look for a summery the trends and messages from these reports in our newsletter!
